A Cup of Coffee and a Sudoku Puzzle: My Perfect Little Break
Some of the best moments in the day are the small ones. A quiet morning, a cup of coffee, and a few minutes where nothing feels rushed. Over the past year, I’ve discovered that one of my favorite ways to enjoy those moments is with a simple puzzle—Sudoku.
It’s funny how something so minimal can feel so engaging. Just a grid, a few numbers, and the challenge of filling in the rest. But somehow, that simple format creates the perfect mix of relaxation and mental exercise.
What started as a casual experiment slowly turned into a small daily ritual I genuinely enjoy.
My First Real Puzzle Experience
Before I actually tried Sudoku, I had seen it many times.
The puzzle was everywhere—newspapers, puzzle books, apps—but I always ignored it. It looked like something that required complicated calculations, and I wasn’t really in the mood for math.
One day, out of curiosity, I finally opened a beginner puzzle on my phone.
The rules were surprisingly simple.
Fill the grid so that each row, column, and 3×3 box contains the numbers from 1 to 9. No repeats.
That was it.
I started placing numbers in the obvious spots, and within a few minutes I realized something important: this puzzle wasn’t about math at all.
It was about logic.
